White House to help Pakistan fight extremism
Really, the United States is going to help Pakistan fight extremism? Who are they kidding? These people (Muslims) are still living in the Stone Age. They’re ignorant beyond belief, and as such their entire existence revolves around their superstitious beliefs.
Certainly the U.S. is just playing politics. I can’t imagine that our “leaders” in Washington are gullible enough to actually believe we can change the mindset of these religious fools. TGO

The White House added its voice to condolences offered to the family of Governor Salman Taseer on Tuesday by Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
“This is an individual who had worked hard to promote tolerance and his loss is a great one for Pakistan,” said White House spokesman Robert Gibbs.
“We remain committed to the efforts that the Pakistani government is (taking) and must undertake to root out violent extremism and to bring greater peace and stability to that country and to that region of the world.
On Tuesday, Clinton said she had admired Taseer’s work to promote tolerance and education and described his death as a “great loss.”
Taseer was one of the most moderate voices in the main ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and personified the liberal elite, free from the emotive tug of conservative Islam but often criticized as detached from the masses.
It was the most high-profile political killing in Pakistan since former prime minister Benazir Bhutto was assassinated in December 2007.
Taseer was killed by a bodyguard who opposed his criticism of controversial blasphemy laws, officials said, after an incident which plunged nuclear-armed Pakistan into deeper political chaos.
